Turning in one of the most prolific offensive campaigns in White Sox history, Albert Belle concluded his first season on the South Side of Chicago ranking in the club’s all-time single-season top ten in extra-base hits, doubles, total bases and RBI. Furthermore, the former American League MVP runner-up set a single-season franchise standard in 1997 with four grand slams. For his efforts, the veteran right fielder was selected to the AL All-Star Team for the fifth-consecutive season.
